Dental Technology at Vandana Sood, DMD, LLC
Technology is a crucial part of living in the 21st century, and innovations in the field of dentistry are making it easier than ever to look after our oral health.
From treatments provided in the comfort of our modern, well-equipped offices to apps and devices that help you to care for your teeth at home, there are many new advancements in dental technology that help to offer patients enhanced comfort as well as better oral health.
Let's take a look at some of the ways in which the technology we can offer you can help to keep your smile healthy, functional and beautiful.
Intraoral Cameras
In the past, we examined our patient's mouths, and patients were unable to see the condition of their teeth. At Vandana Sood, DMD, we use the Gendex EZ1 oral camera, so you can see what's happening in your mouth and make informed choices about your dental health.
The intraoral camera is a small digital camera that is shaped like a pen. We connect our camera to a large TV, so you can watch as we inspect your mouth. This way, you can easily see the condition of your teeth. The camera also contains an LED light, which helps us see cavities and fractures that are not easily visible.
Dental Implants
Dental implants could be considered one of the leading innovations in dental technology thanks to their ability to entirely replace the fit and function of a natural tooth.
Implants integrate with the jawbone, making them an extremely durable, permanent solution to tooth loss.
With a near-perfect success rate and the option of 'same-day' implants, this cosmetic and functional treatment is continuing to grow in popularity, as is not more accessible and affordable than ever before.
Digital Imaging
Dentists can now see and understand your teeth better than ever before thanks to evolutions in imaging technology.
Digital x-rays reduce patient exposure to radiation and create images that have exceptional clarity. They can also be emailed to specialists anywhere in the world at the touch of a button.
Digital photography gives us the ability to be able to adapt images of your teeth so that you can see a projected outcome for your treatment with us - a tool which is particularly useful for people interested in purely cosmetic improvements in their smile.
Our practice is pleased to offer some of the latest and most advanced dental treatments in the dental field today. To find out more about how they can improve the quality of your treatment and your dental health, feel free to speak to one of our experienced and knowledgeable team members today.
